Back in the day, Casting Directors would use couriers to ship audition tapes across town. Talent were required to have a stack of expensive headshots and resumes. Casting sessions often involved a hectic scramble for size cards and photos. Our revolutionary system--based on years of experience in the world of Commercial Casting--has moved the entire system online. Casting Frontier was started in 2006 by two partners, Joey Rubenstein and Andreas Tompros, to bring the freedom and flexibility of digital technology to casting.

Joey Rubenstein is a musician, composer and entrepreneur who lives in Los Angeles. After a successful career in the 1990's as a guitarist for major-label alternative rock bands, Joey began composing music, and working in the Advertising world. After six years of work in the Casting Industry, including work as a Session Director, Joey was inspired to find a better way to help Actors and Casting Directors connect. So, in 2006, with partner Andreas Tompros, Joey created Casting Frontier. Joey plays both Gibson and Fender guitars and holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

ANDREAS TOMPROS, Chief Operations Officer/Founder Andreas Tompros began working with technology ten years ago in his native Toronto where he studied Business Management at Seneca College, and played in area rock bands. During a five-year career as a Satellite Technology Project Manager for Bell, Andreas worked closely with Software Developers and Engineers to bring digital services to over a million people. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, he met Joey through mutual friends in the Los Angeles music scene. Andreas is a Virgo and is passionate about computers and technology.
